Astrida Valigorsky
Astrida Valigorsky has been working in NY for over fifteen years, in a
variety of capacities. She has designed, art-directed, and been the
creative director on projects ranging from major television web sites,
to conference kiosks, to vending machine prototypes, broadcast
graphics, and most forms of pixels. For two years she was the
Director of New Media at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.
Mostly these days calls what she does is ‘design.’ Access to new
tools through membership at NYC Resistor, has led her down a whole new
path of three-dimensional creation. She loves the laser there, and
occasionally teaches a class on it.
Astrida is a graduate of Smith College, and holds an MFA from the
School of Visual Arts. In 2012 she earned a certificate in Type
Design from Cooper Union.
